While LG has since long exited the smartphone market segment, the company has continued working on its other smart home products, such as its webOS platform for its TVs. That being said, LG recently launched its new Travel+ service, which as you can guess from its name, focuses on giving users a rich selection of travel-related content via their TV.

Available in select regions including Korea, the U.S., U.K. and Germany, LG says that the LG Travel+ app features content that encourages users to explore new destinations, access useful information, stream related media and even book future trips all from their smart display or TV. Users can access a “Popular Destinations” section that features maps and recommended visiting times, in addition to a “Travel Deals & More” section that shows relevant content and attractive offers for trips.

The new service allows users to access travel deals from webOS partners using on-screen QR codes for smartphones, making it easier to book flights and accommodations. Users can then organize their favorite content in the “My Luggage” feature for easy access. LG says that it plans to expand the feature to more countries in the future, with more collaborations with travel agencies and airlines to come.
