The integration is designed to simplify digital payments for businesses by streamlining the payment process from checkout through settlement.
Paystack and Pesalink have expanded their long-standing partnership to enable Pesalink as a payment method on Paystack Checkout in Kenya, allowing customers to make payments directly from their bank accounts while giving businesses instant payment confirmation and automated reconciliation.
The integration is designed to simplify digital payments for businesses by streamlining the payment process from checkout through settlement. Customers can now complete transactions directly from their bank accounts, while merchants receive immediate confirmation of successful payments within the Paystack platform.
According to Pesalink, the expanded partnership builds on an existing relationship in which the bank payment network already powers Paystack’s settlements and payouts. The latest integration extends that infrastructure into payment collection, creating a connected payment flow that covers payment initiation, confirmation, settlement and disbursement.
The companies said the solution reduces the need for manual payment verification by eliminating proof-of-payment checks and automating transaction matching. This is expected to improve operational efficiency for businesses, particularly those processing high-value transactions and business-to-business (B2B) payments, where bank transfers remain a preferred payment method.
The partnership comes as demand grows among Kenyan small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), online merchants and corporate businesses for faster, more reliable and integrated payment collection solutions. By connecting bank account payments directly to Paystack Checkout, the two companies aim to reduce payment friction and improve the overall digital payment experience for businesses and their customers.
Paystack and Pesalink said the collaboration strengthens Kenya’s digital payments ecosystem by bringing payment collection, confirmation, settlement and payouts together within a single integrated system.
