It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about Amazon’s Luna cloud gaming service, although it looks like the company is looking to breathe new life into the platform. That said, Luna is now expanding directly into the Prime Video app for Fire TV users in the United States, as well as the United Kingdom.
As such, the update adds a new “Games” tab alongside Prime Video’s existing content library, which allows Prime members to launch games in seconds without the need to download additional software, much like Google Stadia for example. Players can also control games using a standard controller or their mobile phones, even if they don’t have the Luna controller.
Prime members also gain instant access to a rotating library that includes AAA game titles like Hogwarts Legacy, EA Sports FC 26, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, as well as casual party games like Clue and Ticket to Ride. Amazon adds that Luna on Prime Video will expand to additional devices, countries, and titles in the coming months. As per the company:

Amazon Luna is just one of a handful of cloud-based gaming services, which essentially lets players stream games over an internet connection without the need for a console. While Amazon hasn’t given up on it, it goes without saying that the cloud gaming segment still lacks the reach offered by more traditional console-based experiences, at least at the time being.
