After the Galaxy S23 series, Samsung is now rolling out the stable One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S23 FE in Korea. Since fan edition devices don’t get beta updates, the device is directly receiving stable One UI 8 without any open beta builds.
Although the Galaxy S23 FE is a more affordable option compared to the main Galaxy S23 series and comes with slightly less powerful hardware, it still receives the same number of Android updates. This means the device will be supported up to Android 17. The Android 16-based One UI 8 update marks the third major update for the Galaxy S23 FE.
The One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S23 FE is available with build version DYI5. Since this is a major update, it exceeds 2GB in size. So it’s recommended to download the update over WiFi.
One UI 8 update introduces a range of interesting features and improvements. After updating your device, you’ll notice fluid animations and some UI improvements. The update also includes the adaptive lock screen clock style, which adjusts its length based on eligible objects on the applied wallpaper. You can say it as an depth effect alternative.
Since the update is just rolling out, the full changelog is not yet available. However, the changelog will mostly be the same as Galaxy S23. However, some features, such as AI features, may not be available on the Galaxy S23 FE. Here’s a changelog from the Galaxy S23 update.

Before installing a major update, it is recommended that you back up important data and charge your device to at least 50%.
