Throughout the programme, participants acquired vital digital skills, discovered their voices in technology, and gained the confidence to shape their futures in the digital space.
The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) celebrated the closing of this year’s Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Women in ICT Training, a programme that began in 2023 with the aim of empowering Nigerian women in technology. The ceremony, led by Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, marked the culmination of weeks of intensive training across all six geopolitical zones of Nigeria—North Central, North East, North West, South East, South South, and Southwest.
Throughout the programme, participants acquired vital digital skills, discovered their voices in technology, and gained the confidence to shape their futures in the digital space. Hundreds of women across the country were touched by the initiative, demonstrating the profound impact of equipping women with technological tools and knowledge.
NITDA Director General, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, attended the ceremony, reaffirming the Agency’s commitment to digital inclusion and women’s empowerment. He highlighted the importance of providing Nigerian women with the skills and training necessary to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
While the closing ceremony marked the end of this year’s edition, its impact is expected to resonate long into the future, as women from across Nigeria step into the digital economy—prepared, empowered, and ready to drive national progress.
