If you use Google’s Snapseed photo editor, then you might want to check out the app for a new update, which brings changes to the user interface as well as its core functions. Dubbed “Snapseed 4.0,” the update is now available for Android phones and tablets, as well as iOS devices. With that said, the update introduces new UI changes that Google says strikes a balance between modern aesthetics with the app’s traditional functional DNA. The new layout is also designed to make editing feel more seamless and accessible especially for users with smaller displays on mobile devices. Also included…
Today, Cerebras Systems is a public company that sells AI chips for inference to giants like OpenAI and AWS. It held a blockbuster IPO on Thursday, with both of its co-founders billionaires, and ended the week worth about $60 billion. But in 2019, when it was three years old, it came dangerously close to failure – incinerating a shocking amount of money. It was trying to solve a technical problem no one in the semiconductor industry thought could be done. “We were spending about $8 million a month,” founder CEO Andrew Feldman told TechCrunch of that period. “At this point,…
NinjaEvery May, the same thing happens. My inbox fills up, and my tabs multiply. Somewhere in the clutter, I end up scrolling through the Amazon Memorial Day sale deals, where someone is telling me a blender I’ve never heard of is 68% off and that I should feel something about it.I usually don’t.And yet—some deals are real. Some things I actually want, right now, heading into summer. So I treated this Amazon Memorial Day sale like I’d treat a sample sale: fast, selective, and with a very short list of things I actually care about. If that’s your kind of shopping…
A few days ago, Google announced Gemini Intelligence, which seems to be more than just a rebranding effort. It’s actually an impressive set of features that, among other things, can automate multi-step tasks and execute them entirely in the background on its own, including things like sourcing and transforming information and interacting with various apps and websites autonomously on your behalf. There is even a “Rambler” component coming to Gboard that lets you talk freely with any and all filler or crutch words that most of us unintentionally use, and even mix languages in the same sentence. Crazy stuff. Do…
For a financial services firm, managing this can be very challenging. A Forrester study found that 57% of financial organizations are still developing the necessary internal capabilities to fully leverage agentic AI. “The data exists in many different formats, created over the course of a bank’s history,” says Mayzak. “Take any bank that’s been around for 50 years: They might have 60 different types of PDFs for the exact same thing. And at the same time, we want the output of these systems to be 100% accurate. In many cases, there is no ‘good enough’.” That is, companies need to…

OpenAI co-founder and president Greg Brockman is officially taking the reins of the company’s product strategy, according to Wired. This seems to solidify an already-existing change, with Brockman overseeing OpenAI’s products on an interim basis while the company’s CEO of AGI deployment Fidji Simo is out on medical leave. Wired also reports that in a staff memo, Brockman described plans to combine ChatGPT and its programming product Codex into a single unified experience. “We’re consolidating our product efforts to execute with maximum focus toward the agentic future, to win across both consumer and enterprise,” Brockman reportedly said. OpenAI told TechCrunch…

This is a rather interesting development for sure, but for whatever reason, Samsung has already shipped an update containing Android’s May security patches to the Galaxy A55 and is now doing the same for the Galaxy A54. Meanwhile, this author’s personal Galaxy S26 Ultra is still running patches from April 5 as of writing this article. We snooped around in the changelog for the update just out of curiosity. Perhaps something in there would simply be more relevant in some way to the midrange Galaxy A5x family? That doesn’t appear to be the case. The May patches address two critical…
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., May 14, 2026 — Equinix, Inc. today announced the global expansion of Equinix Fabric Geo Zones, the first network-level, sovereignty enforcement layer that operates across interconnected clouds and providers. Enterprises face growing compliance risks from network rerouting events that can inadvertently move sovereign data across borders they are legally required to respect. Built natively into Equinix Fabric, Geo Zones eliminates that risk by keeping data within defined geographic boundaries. A map of Equinix Fabric Geo Zones “Businesses are facing one of the most complex global regulatory environments in history while at the same time facing huge pressure…
