The academy combines workshops, hands-on laboratories, practical exercises, projects and collaborative group activities to help participants develop both technical expertise and essential personal skills for the digital age.
Fortinet has joined the third edition of Egypt’s Cybersecurity Superhero Academy 2026 as a technology partner, supporting a nationwide initiative led by the National Telecommunications Institute (NTI) under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) to strengthen cybersecurity awareness and digital safety skills among young people.
The 2026 edition aims to train more than 6,000 participants, making it one of Egypt’s largest cybersecurity awareness and capacity-building initiatives for youth and emerging talent. According to the organizers, this year’s intake is expected to equal the total number of participants trained during the previous two editions combined, highlighting the program’s rapid expansion and growing national reach.
Running from July to September 2026, the academy will deliver training across 17 governorates through NTI branches and Egypt’s Digital Innovation Centers (Creativa). The program targets children and youth aged 8 to 17, as well as university students and graduates.
Participants will receive training in cybersecurity awareness, digital safety, safe internet use, data protection and privacy, cyber threat identification and prevention, alongside awareness of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.
As part of its contribution, Fortinet is providing NTI with educational content from its Fortinet Security Awareness Curriculum, which has been used to develop and deliver dedicated week-long cybersecurity training. The curriculum is designed to help participants build foundational cybersecurity knowledge, develop responsible digital habits, and better understand how to protect themselves online.
The academy combines workshops, hands-on laboratories, practical exercises, projects and collaborative group activities to help participants develop both technical expertise and essential personal skills for the digital age.
“Cybersecurity awareness must begin at an early age to help build a safer digital future. Through our collaboration with NTI and the Cybersecurity Superhero Academy, Fortinet is proud to contribute with educational resources that help young learners develop the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to closing the cyber skills gap and inspiring the next generation of cybersecurity professionals and digital innovators.”
