The collaboration reflects a broader push to strengthen digital financial inclusion and support businesses in adopting faster, more efficient payment solutions across Kenya.
KCB Bank Kenya, in partnership with Craft Silicon, has brought together businesses and partners in Kenya to explore how payment systems can be made more seamless and efficient in everyday commercial transactions.
The initiative highlights the growing role of digital payment innovation in improving business operations and enhancing customer experience, particularly through the Tourist App, which allows international visitors to make contactless payments using Visa or Mastercard directly via their mobile devices. Merchants, in turn, can accept payments on their own devices, simplifying transaction processes.
According to KCB General Manager, Sovereign & Public Sector, David Nyamu, the shift toward simplified payment systems is key to business growth.
“When payment acceptance is simple and reliable, businesses are better placed to serve more customers, improve turnaround time, and participate more competitively in the formal economy.”
