KniTT said Elysium has been developed to address these challenges by enabling organizations to retain ownership and control of their data while benefiting from cloud-based automation and scalability.
KniTT, a partner of the SEED Group under the Private Office of Sheikh Saeed bin Ahmed Al Maktoum, has launched Elysium, an AI-powered private cloud platform designed to help enterprises strengthen data sovereignty amid growing geopolitical tensions and increasing cybersecurity risks.
The company said the launch marks its entry into the Middle East through the UAE and comes at a time when organizations are reassessing their reliance on public cloud infrastructure in favor of private and hybrid cloud environments. According to KniTT, enterprises are increasingly seeking greater control over their data as concerns grow over cybersecurity exposure, unpredictable cloud costs, vendor lock-in, and data residency requirements.
KniTT said Elysium has been developed to address these challenges by enabling organizations to retain ownership and control of their data while benefiting from cloud-based automation and scalability.
The company cited Gartner’s estimate that 20% of cloud workloads globally are being “geopatriated” as organizations move digital data and computing resources back under local or national control.
KniTT also highlighted growing investment in sovereign cloud infrastructure across the Gulf region, noting that the UAE and Saudi Arabia are leading the shift through sovereign cloud projects currently valued at more than US$6 billion, with the potential to generate over US$200 billion in long-term economic value.
Unlike traditional public cloud models, Elysium allows enterprises to deploy cloud capabilities directly within their existing infrastructure rather than moving workloads to third-party data centers. According to the company, this approach helps reduce latency, improve security, maintain regulatory compliance, and strengthen control over critical business workloads while preserving the flexibility of modern cloud environments.
The platform is built on a Zero-Trust security architecture and supports interoperability with public cloud ecosystems. KniTT said Elysium combines dedicated infrastructure with hyperscale performance and can reduce total cost of ownership by at least 30%.
The launch also reflects the increasing role of the digital economy in the Gulf region. KniTT noted that the digital economy accounted for 15.6% of Saudi Arabia’s GDP in 2025, with the ICT sector contributing more than US$63 billion. In the UAE, the digital economy currently represents around 12% of GDP, with the government targeting an increase to 19.4% by 2031, equivalent to approximately US$140 billion.
According to the company, Elysium is intended to support enterprises pursuing sovereign and hybrid cloud strategies as they seek to balance innovation with greater control over data, infrastructure, and security in an increasingly complex digital landscape.
