The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) has entered into a three-year strategic partnership with the Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) to accelerate the digital transformation of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the country.
Formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in Windhoek, the collaboration aims to strengthen Namibia’s digital business landscape by promoting the adoption of digital technologies, enhancing cybersecurity readiness and enabling businesses to expand into online and cross-border markets.
Under the agreement, CRAN and NCCI will work together on initiatives spanning Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), cybersecurity, digital transformation, e-commerce, digital literacy, regulatory standards and legislative reforms. These efforts are designed to help MSMEs build secure digital operations while improving their competitiveness in an increasingly connected economy.
By equipping businesses with essential digital skills, secure online tools and a supportive regulatory environment, the partnership seeks to increase participation in domestic and international e-commerce, positioning Namibia’s MSMEs to take advantage of new opportunities in the digital economy.
