It’s been quite some time now since Nintendo first announced its aptly-named Nintendo Music streaming service, although the app’s initial debut did have some limitations in terms of availability and overall device compatibility. That being said, Nintendo recently rolled out some much-needed updates which make accessing the app a lot easier.
The update comes with software version number 1.6.0, and finally brings support for more devices beyond smartphones—users can now access Nintendo Music on larger devices including tablets, foldables, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Nintendo has also added support for finding tracks using Siri (for iPhone users).
Finally, users can also access Nintendo Music directly via their browser (using this link), which allows you to play music ala-Spotify on your computer.
Announced way back in October 2024, Nintendo Music features a wealth of different music tracks from a large selection of Nintendo games across different consoles and franchises. There’s a catch however – users will need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to be able to use the app.
