The 2025 annual report of the Sonatel Group highlights a year of strong financial performance and accelerated digital transformation across its operations in West Africa.
The group recorded consolidated revenue of 1,923.1 billion CFA francs, representing an 8.3% increase compared to the previous financial year. This solid growth was driven across all operating markets and supported a net profit of 413.6 billion CFA francs, up 5.2% year-on-year.
A key driver of this performance was the continued expansion of mobile data and fixed broadband services. The number of mobile data customers rose by 8% to 22.5 million, while fixed broadband saw significant growth of 26.1%, reaching 1.16 million subscribers. Fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) remains a major growth engine, now exceeding 640,000 active customers.
The group also strengthened its leadership in digital financial inclusion through its mobile money platform, Orange Money, which now serves 13 million active users, up 2.8%. The service continues to play a central role in advancing digital payments and financial access across local economies. The rollout of the “Max It” super-app further supports this strategy by integrating financial and digital services into a unified ecosystem.
Beyond financial performance, Sonatel reinforced its commitment to social impact and sustainability. In 2025, more than 27,000 young people were trained in digital skills through Orange Digital Centers, while over 2,000 women were supported in socio-economic inclusion initiatives. On the environmental front, the company continued its green transition with over 1,800 solar-powered sites in Guinea and more than 1,000 in Senegal.
Looking ahead, Sonatel aims to strengthen its technological leadership with preparations underway for the rollout of 5G across its markets. The group is also positioning itself as a key digital partner for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, where it will support connectivity and showcase innovation across the continent.
