With 2025 ending soon, we’re seeing more and more streaming platforms provide users with end-of-year stats based on their most favourite content, and it looks like YouTube has finally introduced its very own take on the feature. Dubbed as “Recap,” the new end-of-year feature arrives for users in North America, with a worldwide rollout to follow.
As you can probably tell, YouTube Recap highlights interests, deep dives, and key moments based on a user’s watch history. Users get a set of up to 12 different “cards” which include their top channels, topic of interest, viewing habits, to name a few. This also includes top artists and songs which users listened to throughout the year.
Interestingly, Recap also includes a list of “personalities” based on a user’s content consumption habits. Part of YouTube’s official announcement reads:
