Some Samsung Health users are seeing a notice when opening the app asking them to consent to the use of their health data for AI training and modeling. If users don’t provide consent, they will not only be unable to sync health data with their Samsung account, but also lose it, as it will be deleted. If users consent, Samsung will collect health and wellness data, medication data, health records, and cycle tracking data. Samsung says the health data it will collect and process “will be used for AI training and modelling, including human review, to improve Samsung Health, including…
In March, Bluesky’s longtime CEO, Jay Graber, stepped down from that role to become its chief innovation officer. Graber was immediately succeeded by Toni Schneider, the founding CEO of Automattic, which is the company behind WordPress and Tumblr. Schneider, who has led the company as interim CEO for the past four months, is now dropping the “interim” status and becoming its permanent chief executive. “I’m four months into my interim CEO role at Bluesky, and it’s time for an update,” Schneider wrote on his personal blog. “Most importantly, as of today, the interim part of the title is gone. I’m…

In the past few years, multiple tech executives have told us that glasses could be the next big interface for consumer hardware. And yet, today’s smart glasses rely a lot on phones, even if they have good hardware. Even Realities’ G2 smart glasses are in the same boat. They’re a premium-looking pair of glasses with a neon-style heads-up display you can see in any lighting — but their functionality relies heavily on their connectivity with the phone, which can be** unreliable and frustrating. Even Realities takes a different approach to smart glasses than players like Meta. Their devices have a…

We only recently finished reviewing the Galaxy A27. It had a pretty delayed launch compared to the rest of its Galaxy A family siblings, like the Galaxy A37, which came out all the way back in April. That’s just one of the explanations for the pricing faux pas the Galaxy A27 finds itself in. In the US, Samsung technically launched the A27 at $350, while running a promo for the A37 at $330 at the same time. That was quickly corrected with the A37 getting back its old price – $450, which coincidentally is exactly how much the Galaxy A57…
Meta has axed a controversial feature that allowed users to modify photos from public Instagram accounts using AI. The feature, which was rolled out earlier this week along with a batch of other AI tools, “missed the mark” and is no longer available, according to the company. Earlier this week, Meta announced Muse Image, a new AI image generator built by Meta Superintelligence Labs, its dedicated AI unit. Meta promoted one feature that allowed individuals to generate images by @-mentioning public Instagram accounts that they wanted to reference. The feature, which wasn’t designed to alert a user if their photos…
