Last July, we heard that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 would come with a crease-free folding display before Apple’s folding iPhone. And earlier this year, a report claimed that Samsung would use a new display technology in the Galaxy Z Fold8, decreasing the crease visibility by around 20%. Recently, tipster Ice Universe said the “crease doesn’t improve much” on the Fold8 series, but now they say it will be as good as that of the Oppo Find N6.
Regarding their previous post about the display crease not improving much on the Fold8 series, Ice Universe clarified that they were referring to the first test version in that post and that they are now referring to the latest version.
Two leaks:
1. The crease control on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 series is just as impressive as that of the OPPO Find N6.
2. The original Fold 8 has been renamed to Fold 8 Ultra, while the original Fold 8 Wide has been renamed to Fold 8. This decision was made only recently. 👀

Additionally, the tipster reiterated that the original Galaxy Z Fold8 has been renamed to the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, while the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide is called the Galaxy Z Fold8.
The tipster previously claimed that the Galaxy Z Fold8 series won’t come with the S26 Ultra’s Privacy Screen feature and have S Pen support. Whether or not that’s true is something we’ll find out only when the Fold8 series is launched. Rumored launch date is July 22.
