Samsung has been consistently rolling out the Android 16-based stable One UI 8 update for its eligible devices since September. The Korean tech giant has now extended the update to four more Galaxy devices.
The official One UI 8 update is now rolling out for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE, Galaxy Tab S9 FE+, Galaxy F05, and Galaxy M05. These are budget tablets and entry-level smartphones. With this rollout wave, Samsung is nearing the completion of the update for all eligible models.
The stable One UI 8 update is now available for the devices mentioned with the following build versions:
- Galaxy Tab S9 FE: DYJ4
- Galaxy Tab S9 FE+: DYJ4
- Galaxy F05: CYJ4
- Galaxy M05: CYJ4
Since this is a major update, regardless of the device you’re using, it weighs a lot around 3GB. So make sure to download it over WiFi.
Talking about changes, you can expect various new features. However, Galaxy F05 and M05, being entry-level devices, may have fewer features. This is because they may not support every new One UI 8 feature due to hardware limitations. You can expect features like the new Adaptive lock screen clock, improved split-screen view, better display support in Samsung DeX, easier file sharing with Quick Share, Dynamic Lock screen, hide apps in secure folder, updated stock apps, improved animations, and more.
As usual, the One UI 8 update is gradually rolling out to Galaxy Tab S9 FE, Tab S9 FE+, Galaxy F05, and Galaxy M05 through an OTA update. If you own one of these models, you can check for the update in Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. Once the update is available, you can download and install it, but don’t forget to back up your device before proceeding.
