Razer has officially released the beta version of Razer Synapse Web, a new lightweight web app which gives gamers instant control over their gear without the need for software installation. The app works directly within Chromium-based browsers like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Opera, and is designed for competitive environments, LAN parties, and shared workstations where installing full desktop software may be restricted or inconvenient.
Razer states that the app focuses on essential performance and aesthetic adjustments such as key settings and Chroma RGB effects. Synapse Web is also capable of editing and saving profiles directly to a device’s onboard memory, which means that custom configurations remain active even when the browser is closed or the device is moved to a different computer.
With that in mind, Synapse Web will initially work with a select number of devices, including the Razer Huntsman V3 keyboard series. Razer adds that Synapse 4 will remain as the primary hub for advanced features like more in-depth multi-device synchronization and game-specific profiles. Users can expect expanded compatibility to more devices as the platform continues its beta phase.
