If you own a Samsung Galaxy S25-series device, then you might want to check out what Samsung has in store with its newest One UI beta update. The company officially kicked off its One UI 8.5 beta program, which will initially arrive for Galaxy S25 series users in the U.S., UK, Germany, India, Korea, and Poland.
The update brings several improvements including an enhanced Photo Assist tool that allows for continuous image editing without needing to save every iteration, alongside a smarter Quick Share that uses facial recognition to instantly suggest file recipients. Connectivity also gets a boost with a new Audio Broadcast feature that allows streaming to nearby devices, and Storage Share for seamless file access across phones, tablets, PCs, and TVs within the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem.
Samsung adds that it’s also focused on security with the introduction of new Theft Protection tools, including a Failed Authentication Lock that secures the screen after repeated failed unlock attempts, and an expanded Identity Check for sensitive settings. According to Samsung, users in eligible regions who want to test these new features can apply to join the beta program directly through the Samsung Members app.
